Responsibilities may be quite diverse and are technical in nature. Software engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with validation engineers and/or emulation engineers in the design, development and utilization of productivity enhancement tools and systems software. Determines computer user needs advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity processing speed and input/output requirements designs and develops compilers and assemblers utility programs and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education judgement and formal software process.
Responsibilities include development and integration of software in python and ruby environments generating and debugging integration scripts to run software on validation logs.
This position provides a challenging opportunity in developing the next generation of technologies for automating the soc validation process as well as becoming familiar with soc development and execution.
This position is temporal - 2 years.
*qualifications*
this position requires a bs or ms in electronics/electrical or computer engineering or equivalent 2+ years of experience.
*minimum qualifications*:
- 1+ years of experience in intel architecture.
- 1+ years of experience in computer architectures and interfaces.
- 1+ years of experience in unix/linux and python programming (other programming languages can be c/c++ or ruby).
*preferred qualifications*:
- communication skills both in spanish and english.
- engineering background with software development skills.
- ability to analyze resolve and communicate clearly with product validation and design engineers.
