Responsibilities include:

Directly responsible for the production program and for the levels of efficiency, observing the requirements established by quality as well as controlling scrap.
Supervises the preparation of reports on production, completion dates and shipping schedules.
Supervises or evaluates procedures designed to upgrade production methods, equipment utilization, and quality of products.
Responsible of the effectiveness of manpower utilization.
Calculates and projects labor requirements and staffing needs.
Advises management on production problems.
Formulates, negotiates, and manages objectives and budgets of processes and functions under his responsibility, as well as strategies and action plans to achieve those objectives.
Validates and authorizes standard operating procedures (sop)
responsible for selecting, training, motivating, and developing the production team. Responsible for promoting and maintaining interdepartmental harmony.
Recommends/initiates promotions, transfers, dismissals, and disciplinary actions based on rit and policies.
Estimates, request, inspects, and safekeeps components, raw materials, and subassemblies.
Coordinates all material transactions with warehouse to assure inventory accuracy (including scrap).
Designs, and implements process improvements using different continuous improvement techniques
coordinates with maintenance to keep equipment and facilities in optimal conditions.
Participate and support strategic projects, close collaboration in ehs initiatives including committees/brigades.
Pristine organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping of areas under responsibility.
