position: courier (full time)
location: parque industrial cancun park, bodega 3a, supermanzana 301, manzana 07, lote 01, boulevard luis donaldo colosio, 77500 cancún, mexico
job responsibilities:
1. provide courteous and efficient package delivery, sorting, and collection services while representing the company professionally.
2. operate non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and corporate procedures.
3. conduct accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and report on stopped counts and incorrect classifications.
4. seek additional business from current customers, attempt to obtain new business (pass contacts to the sales department), and inform the sales department about significant changes in customer actions or competitor actions.
5. respond to customer inquiries about fedex service functions and keep customers informed about the company and its services.
6. ensure packages meet fedex service characteristics, provide proper labeling, and complete all documentation accurately.
7. validate that package contents are legal, including special handling requirements for hazardous materials and international shipments, and separate packages by service type and destination according to established procedures.
8. scan packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrate competence in service characteristics and equipment.
9. ensure customers have an adequate supply of fedex materials for shipping.
10. gather air packages and transport as required for sorting operations.
11. load and unload aircraft, containers, and company vehicles and operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages.
12. clean, wash, and perform minor maintenance on company vehicles as necessary and maintain a neat and clean personal appearance to uphold the company's public image.
minimum requirements:
1. minimum education level: high school diploma.
2. preferred basic english proficiency.
3. minimum experience: one (1) year of professional driving experience.
4. driver's license for commercial driving, appropriate for the assigned vehicle according to specific country regulations.
5. good driving record.
6. must be over 21 years of age.
minimum skills required:
1. ability to lift 32 kg and maneuver packages weighing up to 68 kg with appropriate equipment.
2. good oral and written communication skills, human relations, and teamwork.
3. must successfully complete sections of reading, map reading, classification, and mathematics of the basic skills test.
