*import and export assistant*summary*this position is responsible to assist in executing all related activities of international purchasing, imports, exports, and logistics requirements of the company ensuring compliance.
*essential duties, responsibilities and authorities* include the following.
others may be assigned.assist the import/export specialist in:- review prior days shipments and arrivals, organize and release import schedule.- prepare customs clearance documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, technical data sheet, proxy´s, etc.
)- planning and monitoring all logistics aspects of international transportation making sure all documentation is complete and correct (shipping labels, waybills, etc.
)maintain close communication with the custom broker to reconcile pediment and commercial invoice to actual materials.
in case of any discrepancies, report immediately.- dispatch material coordination, tax and duties verification.- keep physical and electronic records of all trade operations.- review import documents to ensure accuracy and inclusion of country of origin, value, fees, etc., when applicable.- pick, pack, and ship materials from sst showroom.
invoice must be requested and attached prior to shipping.- send shipping documentation (delivery, purchase order, invoice, shipping labels, etc.)
to customs broker and 3pl.- sort, load, unload materials in self-managed warehouses.- review correctness of the material against documentation provided in self-managed warehouses.- perform other duties as directed by management.

*education and/or experience*- bachelor's degree in international commerce.- 1-2 years of work experience.- oral and written communication skills.- general computer skills, including knowledge of microsoft word and excel.- knowledge of sap business software is desired.
