*what will you do?

we are hiring a cost accounting in our reynosa tamps plant.
this individual will be the partner for the business unit finance based in country and will be the primary owner of the costing activities assigned to him/her.
as such they will be responsible for the proper closing and statement of the accounts and be the first point of contact for any queries and audits.
this role will also be responsible for compliance and ensuring a robust internal control environment in his/her assigned region.
in addition, this person will act as intermediary between the finance department and other shared services and the business ensuring close cooperation and fast issue resolution
*how will you do it?
*
- ensures calculation and review monthly of relevant accruals and reserves, such as obsolete and slow-moving inventory, warranty, advertising, volume discounts, freight, cost accruals etc.
- to elaborate prepare and submit to the main operational and administrative employees the daily report plant of efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, hours standards, overhead and production support cost, scrap, etc.
generated in the plant(s).
- strong knowledge on bom (bill of material) rates calculation (labor/overhead ) standard cost & inventory control
- prepares variance analysis compared with the budget and / or standards, explaining the main causes.
- continually review production reports, analyzing and reporting any extraordinary situation.
- provides guidelines for standard cost approaches used in business decisions; establishes and monitors cost reduction programs.
- ensures proper analysis by multiple branch / plant and lob of margins, costs, variances, inventory, sg&a and coordinates correct allocations,
- calculates and sets up annual standard costs, ensures updates for new products and monthly variance analysis; elaborates monthly sales cost calculation,
- coordinates monthly analysis / accruals / reviews of contract accounting projects,
- ensures related policies (cost accounting / inventory / contract accounting) are being enforced and implemented, ensures compliance with the applicable laws and policies, internal and external audits,
- audits and confirms indirect purchasing savings reported to the corporate procurement team,
- ensures other key financial controls are performed on a regular basis, including, but not limited to: margin hold process, credit notes' approval, preparation of weekly trackers, approval of inventory adjustments.
*what we look for?

- minimum a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; mba / master's degree is a plus,
- 2-3 years of accounting and finance experience,
- knowledge of cost accounting, planning, budgeting, inventory management
- internal customer oriented,
- strong in analytical and problem solving,
- advanced english command,
- excellent written and oral communication skills.
