*job summary*:
to lead and manage all supply network planning processes and system capabilities, synchronizing demand and supply outputs in support of the business plans for a specific region or division.
*main responsibilites*:
- the supply network planning manager leads a centralized team for a couple of regions or divisions tasked with ensuring the replenishment of the distribution network in meeting overall demand, establishment of priorities, decision-making on product fair share allocation in case of shortage, managing seasonality, supporting the alert reviews with the plants and synchronization of new product introduction, and sourcing transitions.
- managerial responsibilities also include delivering an improved linkage to the demand planning and production planning, seeking to reduce business complexity and to improve finished goods inventory level, service and quality.
- acting as a liaison between demand planning and production planning, ensuring:
- product availability at dc’s.
- right-sized inventory levels
- synchronization of new product introduction and sourcing transitions.
- reduction of no value added complexity.
- coordination of demand & supply synchronization - chairing and directing the relevant meetings/calls within the weekly and monthly disciplines
- lead the category replenishment planning process - balance target service level to customers, finished goods inventory, and replenishment costs.
- empower team members
- provide training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals, and delegation to ensure the development of people and organizational capabilities.
- support continuous improvement initiatives - develop and implement best practices related to finished goods replenishment, supply planning discipline, alert management to help us reduce unnecessary exceed stock and system utilization.
- collaboration - identify and close gaps with demand planning, production planning, transportation, warehouse operations and customer service to achieve efficient, cost-effective supply planning in meeting cs&l service and cost goals/kpi's and improving supplier responsiveness.
- system/process development - ensure development and implementation of "best practice" supply planning processes to be followed by team members in order to maximize customer service, minimize cost, and optimize inventory.
*education and qualifications*:
- bachelors degree in business administration; b.s. in engineering, finance, logistics or equivalent experience. Mba a plus
- 5-7 years’ experience of supply planning in consumer goods or manufacturing
- experience with sap/apo/
- advanced level of english
