what does the job involve?
responsible for operations, maintenance and engineering work related to the planning, design, installation, and structural reliability of mechanical systems used subsea, such as subsea pipelines, pumps, transportation equipment etc.
you are utilizing your knowledge to independently solve complex tasks with a short-term operational or tactical impact/risk. You deliver on tasks defined by others (and potentially partly defined by you) with significant impacts on team objectives. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across different areas, and towards key stakeholders, including partners or external parties. You may navigate potentially conflicting agendas. You adhere to established procedures and identify as well as resolve challenges. You proactively seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity, demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working, and take ownership of your own work. what will my tasks be?
1. plan, design, and execute subsea systems, including umbilicals and other subsea infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
2. follow-up technical integrity of subsea systems.
3. perform technical and operational support.
4. perform maintenance and modification activities, commissioning of new wells and coordination of subsea operation.
5. follow-up technical plans and lifetime evaluations.
6. perform both internal and external audits and verifications.
7. contribute to facilitating for safe and efficient operation of new subsea projects.
8. contribute to follow-up deliveries and services from subsea suppliers.
9. plan and carry out corrective maintenance activities for subsea production system in operation with vessel or underwater intervention drones.
10. plan and carry out a wide range of subsea construction and installation work.
11. some offshore travel activities might be required.
12. conduct feasibility studies and engineering analyses to assess the technical and economic viability of subsea projects.
13. perform regular inspections and maintenance activities on subsea equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
14. oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of subsea equipment, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
15. stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to subsea operations.
16. participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential hazards associated with subsea operations.
17. ensure technical integrity and high production efficiency of the subsea production systems.
18. develop maintenance requirements as well as the content of maintenance concepts.
19. provide and develop services to investment projects (fr05), modification projects and in lifecycle view (fr06).
20. act as a global service provider for subsea technology services.
21. conduct inventory control of subsea equipment.

1. bachelor's degree in engineering, with eligibility to hold crea.
2. master's degree is desirable, preferable within marine technology, subsea technology, cybernetics, or mechanical or structural engineering.
3. minimum 7 years of relevant subsea experience.
4. broad experience with subsea facilities in operation phase or project phase.
5. fluent portuguese and english skills, both written and verbal.
6. be able to communicate requirements and show direction towards internal and external stakeholders.
7. ability to prioritize correctly during periods of high workload.
8. relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
9. knowledge in technical documentation and technical drawings.
10. knowledge in subsea umbilicals, risers and flexibles.
11. some offshore travel activities might be required.
