- support month-end, budget, and year-end close calendars
- ensure governed metadata standards are fastidiously maintained
- support innovation by acting as a project manager to lead it developers in making enhancements or changes
- perform user acceptance testing (uat). To sign off that functionality designed by it developers agrees with the contractual measures of success
- develop testing strategies to investigate database functionality, address business concerns, or execute a proof of concept
execute ad hoc, root cause analysis, with little to no preparation and recommend work arounds in order to maintain milestone deliverables
- independently avoid issues or problems from reoccurring by performing troubleshooting with the test environment after month end is finalized

- able to work on multiple projects, ideas, or goals by moving them forward collectively through independent organization and prioritization
- proactively identify enhancements to implement in order to reduce bottle necks and minimize inefficiencies.

Able to execute end-to-end: able to develop ideas, communicate the idea to others, design the proof of concept framework, and establish a feedback loop to the development team based on testing results. Lastly, able to drive ideas from the development to production phase in order to recognize results in the operational setting.
- to showcase grit, desire, and hard work and not give up easily when faced with unforeseen obstacles.
- able to collaborate with it, finance, and accounting professionals on topics within their expertise. Able to collaborate and work with difficult personalities.
*desired qualifications*:
- 5 or more years as a systems administrator for a financial database; ideally, with oracle's hyperion planning or hyperion financial management (hfm) software or 5 or more years of relevant work experience in either accounting, finance, or information technology
- advanced excel skills with preferred experience using the excel add in: smart view
- ability to develop or read and comprehend object-oriented programming languages, e.g., vba, python, vb script in order to troubleshoot without the help of others
- experience developing and defending a bottom-up forecast, budget, or long range plan
- knowledge of us gaap or the ability to verbalize the differences between a balance sheet, an income statement, or a cash flow statement
- advanced to fluent english skills in both verbal and written communication.
