Hfi has an opportunity for an operations financial analyst to join the fp&a team to serve as a trusted business partner to the organization.
hfi is recognized as an industry leader in the manufacture of automotive soft trim.
this is a hybrid position that should be based in, or near, one of the following cities in mexico: monclova, romita, san luis potosi, or obregon.
*reporting relationships*:
*major duties and responsibilities*:
- work closely with plant controllers to report plant financials and explain variance analyses, researching cost drivers to ensure clarity of explanations for stakeholders
- develop, compile, and distribute operations kpi scorecards to management communicating key insights
- prepare and send key month-end reporting deliverables, analyzing financials (e.g.
manufacturing variances, ppv, capex, scrap, freight, etc.)
to provide insight to organization
- complete forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for capital expenditures
- serve as finance lead for program financial tracking from award to launch; assist sales and costing teams to explain projected change in program financials as well as mitigation plans, as necessary
- provide financial reporting validation for continuous improvement projects; work closely with plant controllers to implement best practices in continuous improvement savings reporting and validate
- ensure consistent implementation of metrics and associated reporting completion in a timely manner
- conduct business reviews with business partners and finance team and work with them to ensure they achieve / outperform financial commitments
- actively participate in operating plan, forecast, and strategic plan preparation, analysis, and reporting
- drive continuous process improvement across all operations finance, accounting, and reporting processes
- identify ways to improve efficiency, or implement cost savings and analyze the financial impact, risks, and opportunities associated
- support special initiatives to drive strategic decision making (e.g.
margin analytics)
- create financial data models for use by functional counterparts and senior management
- work closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, project management, as well as other functions as finance business partner to ensure they receive accurate, timely financial information to make informed business decisions
- participate in kaizens to help eliminate waste and drive cost savings in manufacturing operations
- support director and broader hfi organization in completion of ad hoc requests
*education*:
- bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
*professional qualifications or experience*:
- 3+ years of finance, fp&a, or accounting experience
- spanish speaking is a plus
- experience with an erp system
- prior experience in a manufacturing costing environment
- experience in the automotive interior trim industry a plus
- knowledge of us gaap preferred
- ability to travel up to 50% of the time to plants in us and mexico
