regional operational technology manager - americas, your future role?
you will lead operational technology (ot) projects for givaudan businesses in the americas region. In collaboration with our global team (which includes it, engineering, quality, manufacturing & ehs) you will perform the technology assessment of our sites in the region and provide operational technology expertise to deploy givaudan operational technology standards, governance models and ot processes. You will report into the global centre of excellence ot lead to align projects aimed at enhancing industrial efficiency, driving digital transformation across the region, and developing a network of experienced ot champions.
you will work on-site in our facilities located at pedro escobedo, queretaro. We will require that you reside in the city or its vicinity.
your main responsibilities will be:
1. assess givaudan americas sites’ operational technology landscape to propose improvement and new ideas following our business strategy.
2. deploy givaudan’s it/ot standards, governance model and processes.
3. work with vendors and internal subject matter experts to ensure the right automation solutions are deployed with the appropriate integration.
4. define areas of improvement by steering the knowledge transfer between internal and external resources.
5. support site local team technology migration and integration with givaudan ecosystem.
6. align with other disciplines for process improvement.
7. ensure transfer of best practices from local organization to global engineering team.
8. partner with engineering internal functions and im&s to ensure standards are applied to new projects.
9. be a technical expert to create new ways of working to support operations and im&s.
10. coach project/local teams.
you?

your professional profile requires:
1. electronics or automation engineering degree or equivalent, with grade or postgraduate studies in automation.
2. at least 7 years of experience in operational technology or automation at industrial companies, with experience in the chemical or consumer products ingredients industries.
3. broad knowledge of state-of-the-art and best practice in automation systems.
4. broad automation project management knowledge regarding user specifications definition, vendor management, project execution, commissioning and qualification.
5. experience managing plcs (allen bradley or siemens), hmi software suite (rockwell or siemens), and dcs systems (emerson).
6. functional certifications: lean/tpm/six sigma, gamp.
7. fluent in english and spanish, both oral and written.
