as a hmi/dcs engineer, you will take ownership of the technical scope of projects from order through design and build of our systems to supporting commissioning.
you will collaborate with cross functional teams to meet customer needs and help to bring energy to the world.
as hmi/dcs engineer you will be responsible for:
- designing and implementing human machine interface (hmi) screens for turbine control retrofit and bop/dcs projects using a variety of hmi software packages.
- providing system design engineering to facilitate the ordering, engineering, installation (construction) design and commissioning of nexus controls, ge and other third party control systems and industrial networks
- providing technical leadership for assigned bop/dcs projects under the overall management responsibility of the project manager
- being accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards
- supporting proposal activities for hmi/bop/dcs opportunities and supporting engineering services field personnel in technical resolution of field problems
- handling multiple projects / activities and providing assistance with quality assurance on projects
- performing hardware selection of system control components for hmi and bop/dcs solutions.
traveling both domestically and internationally approximately 15% of the time, as required

to be successful in this role you will:
- have a bachelor's degree in electrical, automation and control, industrial engineering or equivalent computer science discipline from an accredited university or college.
- speak english and spanish fluently

- demonstrate aptitude for and interest in or experience working with industrial network communication protocols such as opc, modbus, tcp/ip, profibus
- have organizational, analytical, and problem-solving ability and adept at communicating with several levels of the organization strong influence, facilitation, and interpersonal skills motivated, self-starter, results oriented
- have working knowledge of autocad and visio technical skills in engineering design and construction practices
- be a proven team player with solid cooperation, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to learn complex information quickly
