*subdirector risk analytics & modelling*
*role purpose. *the global risk analytics (gra) sub direction is a position responsible for the activities of a team of managers and quantitative analysts who develop and implement credit risk methodologies for the management of hsbc's wholesale banking portfolio in latin america (regional), in in particular, the irb and ifrs9 methodologies for the development of regulatory models for calculating capital requirements, reserves, provisions and management of risk parameters (pd, lgd, ead).
*main activities*:
- coordinate and review the work plans in the development of models and methodologies for credit risk quantification, both for regulatory uses and for better management of the credit portfolio.
- communication of progress, changes in calendars and their rationale are the responsibility of the deputy director.
- coordinate the necessary training and dissemination for the use and understanding of the credit risk analysis and measurement tools for the responsible directors, users and teams that interact with the models. Develop updated documentation for the use of models and hold ongoing training sessions.
- summon and be the secretary of the forums/committees/work teams necessary for the development of models, as well as the follow-up and communication of the current situation of the inventory of models.
- certify the maintenance of the model inventory, making sure that all the evidence of the model cycle is documented.
- know, understand and explain the parameters of the global models implemented in the region to local users/teams.
- review and quantify the change in regulatory requirements under local and international standards (pra, ifrs9, cnbv, banco de argentina, etc.) concerning credit risk models and their effects on hsbc's balance sheet (capital, assets weighted by risk, provisions, reserves). Make impacts in conjunction with finance of changes resulting from the implementation of new models, adoption of irb-f/irb-a methodologies in the portfolio or regulatory changes (i.e., basel 3.5).

- knowledge of the previous evolution and in discussion of regulatory changes at a global level of the requirements for the development of irb and ifrs9 methodologies.
- comply with the policies established by regulators and groups for the certification of the use of models.
- understand the function of global risk analytics within the risk department, as well as its participation in global initiatives.
- strong abilities to lead with impact, to balance stakeholders and with a strategic mind-set
