Together with internal stakeholders you will define the purchasing roadmap of your spend categories, supporting both ad-hoc spend > 25k as well as significant contracts with key vendors 0.5 - 5m.
you will work alongside other procurement managers covering a diverse range of categories that will include: tech (saas, infrastructure, hardware & licensing) professional services & human resources marketing (specifically digital & offline media) you will: negotiate beyond the basic negotiation practices to deliver maximum value for freenow, even in very difficult negotiation positions.
analyze the current and future spending as well as the current purchasing procedures.
establish and maintain positive relationships with key strategic suppliers.
represent freenow in supplier negotiations.
gain cross-functional trust and respect, building expertise for strategic categories.
identify and drive improvement initiatives aiming to optimize costs while ensuring the best quality services.
ensure that the procurement process is followed consistently.
help to design and implement a purchasing system.
to be successful in this role: you should be a consolidating and reliable character, highly self-motivated, who thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
you should possess both an understanding of numbers and people.
further key aspects of your profile are: at least 3 years in a procurement role or a management consulting company with a focus on procurement.
deep negotiation knowledge and the ability to apply advanced negotiation skills in different strategies.
ability to support multiple annual spend cycles with specific examples of addressable spend identified and savings achieved.
seeking feedback from others, as you see potential in it to grow and develop.
proven track record of negotiating with partners from a range of different european countries, with good awareness of procurement practices and standards from different markets (ideally: germany, uk & ireland, spain but open to other markets).
confidence to engage in internal discussions and win others over through strategically communicated arguments.
solid understanding of processes and the confidence to manage projects and people successfully.
fluent spoken and written english skills (german is a plus) combined with strong communication skills.
good working knowledge of google tools, erp, and excel / gsheet.
