In the role of area director of sales & marketing - caribbean you will be responsible for establishing and directing the marketing and sales activities of the belmond portfolio in the caribbean with a view to outperforming all business competitors through intelligent partnerships and well-developed alliances. primary responsibilities: developing, conducting, and overseeing all sales campaigns, marketing and promotional activities. Achieving and/or surpassing established top line revenue goals for both properties. Guiding and developing sales managers to produce sales action plans to increase business from target markets and geo sources. Developing and mentoring sales, marketing, events and administrative teams that foster a positive culture and leads to growth. Supporting general manager in the developments and creation of annual budget strategic plans and asset management presentation. Establishing property brand culture and ethos in conjunction with human resources. Curating the guest journey and brand alignment from acquisition to on-property to advocacy in conjunction with the marketing manager and operations teams. Preparing and submitting plans, budgets, progress, and annual sales reports. Promoting open communications and strong working relationships with resort and corporate staff to maximise revenues and training where needed. Preparing the sales & marketing plan in conjunction with the revenue director and marketing manager, developing rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management. Developing and recommending positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to achieve the highest possible short and long-term market share. requirements: a university degree or college degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or a related field. The position will be based in anguilla and will need to be flexible to travel as needed. Proven and trackable sales success and a minimum of five (5) years’ supervisory or management experience in the sales and marketing of international luxury hotel brands. A sound knowledge of the product and competitive environment, as well as a strong network of established connections with luxury brand tour/travel operators in north america, latin america, mexico, and europe is required. Languages required: english. Proficiency in other languages would be a plus.
