kemin is seeking an operations & warehouse manager in mexico!
this role will be responsible to provide leadership across multiple teams to ensure kemin products meet all safety, quality, performance, efficiency, and environmental standards.
the focus of the role is providing oversight to the mexico facilities and warehouse team.
responsible for leading, developing, and coaching team members.
the operations & warehouse manager will report to the senior sales operations manager and will be in constant communication with leadership team to ensure proper operations of the organization.
*this position is on site and will be located at our zapopan facilities.

*responsibilities*:
- develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
- grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization's internal capacity
- oversee the warehouse/shipping/receiving department, and the facility support contractors.
- partner with cross-functional support teams throughout kemin to seek out process improvements for the facility
- monitor and ensure facility remains clean, and maintain a well -manicured grounds area
- provides and/or coordinates general building repair and utility operation
- responsible for monitoring all building systems to ensure systems are operating correctly and efficiently.
this to include plumbing, electrical, fire, security, and hvac
- ensure the safe work practices and environment warehouse employees and customers.
- achieve and maintain regulatory and quality compliance standards by working with the ipra representative for the facility
- ensure all facility team members receive annual safety training to comply with authorities, to including hazardous material handling, if applicable
- ensure proper and safe handling practices of product movements and storage in the warehouse
- maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
- maintain a quarantine log with current disposition of products for damaged and expired inventory, and arrange for quarantine disposals on a quarterly or annual basis
- maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by general cleanliness and organize/layout/design in a way to ensure maximum space utilization
qualifications:
- fluent in english and spanish
- bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, international business, industrial engineering, chemical engineering or food engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations and warehouse management.
- experience in health and safety process management
- experience managing people and processes
- background in food manufacturing industry
- able to lift up to 55 lbs.
