basic function
under the direct supervision of the genl supvr-npd, model & case, this position is responsible for coordinating the industrialization process for the new products, the verification of the current products (re-cases, modifications, etc), to assure all the products meet the engineering specifications.
specific responsibilities
1. develop standard cost learning curve estimates and mature yield targets.
2. assist the design npd team during the process design of the new products.
3. work cross functionally with product engineering, quality and vitreous plants to identify the key characteristics on our products and create robust products designs/processes to ensure good quality parts are being sent to our customers.
4. track the yield and deliveries after release to assure that the new products are meeting their commitments. Drive corrective actions if targets are not being met.
5. participate in the solution of products field problems resulting from manufacturing or design problems.
6. generate and distribute technical data and reports as required.
7. capture and document knowledge for future projects.
8. generate and maintain historical technical and manufacturing results data files to assist in technical change decision-making.
9. coordinate the verification of new products and the modification of current products.
10. monitor changes in the products, in order to determine if the change was effective.
11. reduce or eliminate production problems related to new products.
12. assure that new products comply with the quality requirements.
13. comply with the verification program for products.
14. coordinate with manufacturing to minimize re-processing and scrap.
15. monitor the tests in the production process, according to procedures.
16. coordinate and test all the new carton and fittings for the new products.
17. coordinate the verification of the products in the test lab, analyze results and send the data required to wisconsin (product engineering).
18. complete and maintain updated the ramp up files for all the new products.
19. support the iso 17025 standard and comply with all the requirements from a customer perspective.
20. develop and implement all new sop for all the new activities related to new products.
21. complete the operation certification checklist for every new product.
skills/requirements
education and experience requirements
education: preference bachelor degree in engineering. (preferably industrial engineer).
experience: preferably with minimum three years experience in manufacturing operation.
