purpose:
performs complex technical work including the design, manufacture and operation of structures, machines, and systems.
identifies and develops internal areas of opportunities through the dmaiic methodology and tools of excellency in processes with the purpose of reducing the manufacturing cost of the products and continuing the culture of continuous improvement.
you will be responsible for:
* provides moderately complex technical support for project planning, development, implementation, and modification; contributes to engineering standards development balancing corporate and customer needs.
* performs moderately complex research of new technology for potential corporate application.
* exercises independent judgment on details of work and in making selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
* performs assignments that have moderately complex objectives and require the investigation of multiple variables.
* identifies, designs, and develops the necessary equipment.
* performs material tests and studies the processes to implement improvements.
* coordinates technicians and engineers about unusual problems.
* responsible for purchasing and designing equipment and tools that meet manufacturing, safety and environment requirements.
* participates in saving and capital projects.
* responsible for evaluating and developing action plans for quality, safety, cost, service and regulatory compliance requirements.
* performs activities of process/product validation.
* can supervise, coordinate, and technically revise the work of a limited group of technicians.
* responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
* responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
* performs other duties assigned as needed.
qualifications:
* engineering, any specialty.
* master’s in science and/or certification is recommended.
* preferably 2 to 4 years in a similar position.
* preferably knowledge in the medical industry.
* knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
* knowledge in statistical analysis tools and management of statistical procedures.
* knowledge of computer programs.
* oral and written communication in spanish.
* strong comprehension of standard costs and work standards.
