The industrialization manager for pp mexico is responsible for the expertise and the skills required for the development of manufacturing processes in the scope of the offer creation process (ocp) for nam power products.
as such, he/she is directly in charge of managing the teams developing our core industrial processes and competencies (assembly, parts, electronics, electrical contacts). He/she is in charge of defining the best processes, tools, and competencies at optimized costs (capex, opex, parts) for new offer or offer adaptation projects.
he/she is also responsible to match and provide the required resources/competencies for all projects, ensuring just enough sizing of its experts, as well as to ensure the industrialization from the design phase until the full production phase and set-up/ramp-up in the manufacturing plants and/or suppliers.
he/she is responsible for the compliance of all industrial processes developed in the business unit with the global "schneider production systems," as well as smart factory, eco-structure, and connectivity readiness. Shared responsibility with the industrial project leaders teams for the capex/opex spent for projects.
key responsibilities
* manages the specific expertise domains under his/her responsibility (contacts development centers, electronics, parts, assembly/processes) and soft skills related (digital, teamwork, english)
* ensures technology consistency in all project management process projects related to those expertise domains
* guarantees the performances of his/her team and monitors the industrialization effectiveness, introducing new technologies or innovations (such as am and dfm); ensures his/her team designs processes fitting with sps, smart factory, ecostruxure and connectivity principles
* liaises with other olm functions, engineering, purchasing, and quality, mainly to find the best optimized solution.
* fosters collaboration between lob functions, gsc, gsct, sc, and regions for the new products projects development; makes sure that the "voice of industry" is taken into consideration by engineering, procurement, quality, plants and all stakeholders.
* delivers the "mandatory requirements" for the processes set-up
* settles the best processes, tools and competencies to ensure a product-process design for manufacturability and optimized costs (capex, opex, parts, supply chain)
* embeds the related plants in which processes will be installed, checks the skills/organization to ensure the welcome of those processes, ensures set-up, ramp-up, training, and support of plant
* resources up to the "responsibility transfer"; delivers appropriate documents (training, operations, maintenance, etc.); and provides any support when operations are running upon requests
* animates functionally the industrialization function across all the business units teams and regions according to the best practices, know-how, initiatives & innovations
* ensures the feedback from experience to maintain constant surveillance over designs and manufacturing processes for the purpose of reducing and controlling costs
* develops his/her team according to the competency strategy linked to technologies and innovations. People's development includes technical skills, soft skills, and personal development skills.
* screens the market to look for any innovation; leads to introduce them thru pmp projects & during olm phases (suppliers visits, communities, internet, exhibitions, benchmark)

this job might be for you if:
* bs degree in industrial engineering or equivalent
* 10+ years strong experience in industrial engineering roles gsc or bu industrialization (performance or deployment)
* prefer 5+ years with assembly & automation domain (methods and tools)
* strong communication skills (verbal and written) in english and spanish
* prior people management is preferred.
