the sr.
buyer will be responsible to identify, investigate, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the global organization's standards for price, quality, time, and reliability of supply, and provide analytical support services for global procurement initiatives and projects.
core responsibilities:
- be responsible for the selection, processing and buying of materials and services.
- confirm the accuracy and acceptance of po information with suppliers and update as required.
- coordinate delivery of materials and services according to po terms and conditions.
- ensure proper service level to users in general.
- ensure timely communication with supervisor and/or peers about business issues and opportunities.
- coordinate the purchasing process of goods and services according to purchasing policies based on requirements to fulfill users' requirements in a timely manner.
- execute properly and achieve business kpi's.
- adhere and maintain updated department policies and procedures.
- maintain strong communication channels with users and suppliers.
- develop solution alternatives for operational challenges.
- use of existing and new technologies to facilitate execution process.
- keep good business relationship with suppliers, providing necessary support to solve administrative issues.
- provide proper support and feedback to users.
- foster collaboration in business initiatives.
- requirements:_
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a buyer, ideally in large food industry companies.
- general english proficiency (oral and written).
- business administration, international commerce, industrial engineering, or similar degree.
- excellent computer skills, including being proficient in word, excel, and powerpoint.
- ability to analyze and summarize data into actionable summary reports, and to translate user requirements into useful and actionable data.
- erp system experience is ideal (sap preferred) and ariba (desirable).
- negotiation skills.
- general knowledge of quality & food systems (iso, fssc, others related) is a plus.
- excellent written and oral communication skills, able to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals and to groups.
- proven project participation / team skills and ability to manage/balance time against multiple tasks/priorities.
- ability to maintain competency in all supply chain processes and systems.
