job description
the role
we are seeking an experienced, commercially oriented business professional to grow our business and expand our cooperation with huawei. Your vision and direction as a cross-functional business leader will inspire the active engagement of indirect team members from across suse’s global organization - including sales, marketing, services, products, and more - all working together with you to create strategic plans and take to market compelling, differentiated solutions with huawei that drive rapid commercial growth.
with a deep understanding of the huawei organization, business model, and culture, you will engage with them at senior levels to develop a shared strategic vision and business model required to grow the business. As a respected thought leader, you will propose and implement innovative new business ideas that are workable for huawei.
the key to success will be your ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and co-innovation between suse and huawei, and then effectively drive the resulting differentiated solutions into the market together in a way that aligns with both organizations' strategies, goals, and targets.
the role is part of the greater china sales leadership team and reports to the general manager greater china.
focus areas
1. achieve suse revenue targets generated from huawei partnership.
2. generate new incremental revenue from various bus, upsell and cross-sell of new products and services.
3. track and report all revenues from all gtm huawei partnership.
4. create and execute holistic long-term and annual strategic plans.
5. be a hands-on subject matter expert on all aspects of huawei's organization, programs, strategy, market, and performance.
cross-functional leadership & collaboration
1. build and foster executive relationships, networking, and influence across the huawei organization.
2. foster collaboration and co-innovation with huawei to develop differentiated joint solutions.
3. inspire and coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, services, engineering & product, solutions, customer success, and marketing).
4. partner with legal, operations, and finance for new contracts, revenue reporting, market direction, and business growth.
5. engage with engineering teams to influence product development and build joint solutions.
6. collaborate with suse service & support to establish cadence with huawei support teams.
requirements on experience & skills
1. must be familiar with partner business model and have worked on major large-deal projects.
2. extensive experience working with huawei and familiarity with its business units and models. Able to drive future business growth.
3. good understanding of infrastructure software and open-source model.
4. clear conception of us ear requirements.
5. native chinese speaker with excellent english communication skills, both written & spoken; able to clearly articulate & present complex business proposals and influence both internal and external stakeholders at senior leadership levels.
6. minimum tertiary education and 15+ years of sales experience in the enterprise infrastructure software industry, including 8+ years in partnership leadership roles with both direct and indirect virtual team responsibilities.
7. ability and willingness to travel up to 20% for domestic and global business trips.
8. highly effective at developing, maintaining, and influencing partner relationships at all levels including day-to-day execution relationships and senior leadership levels.
