Quality assurance engineer - reliability

primary duties and responsibilities:
1. test
o plan and schedule product audit tests (qz) in compliance with bosch directives and according to project timing.
o execute product audit tests according to specifications in bom.
o test equipment sw/hw setup.
o test results interpretation.
o communication with lead plant team for special tests.
o continuous technical learning on current and new products/tests.
o usage of hardware and software test tools.
o compliance of laboratory internal kpis.
2. test equipment
o communication with development team/lead plant for test equipment upgrades.
o planning/scheduling of tests equipment calibration and maintenance.
o coordinate with qmm product quality and lead plant acquisition of equipment for new products.
o test equipment installation.
o coordinate external suppliers for test equipment maintenance or repair.
3. reporting/ communication
o create test reports and archive them in the system used as a database.
o keep informed qmm and manufacturing team about test results.
o participate in meetings with customers when technical explanation is requested by quality product team.
4. handling/storage of product
o storage time of tested product according to customer/bosch specifications.
o disposal of material according to internal procedures.
5. non-conforming product
o initiate internal notification for failures found during product validation tests.
o analyze trends & events to kick-off activities with responsible departments to initiate investigation activities.
6. leadership/ cptm
o serves as a coach for new engineers & technicians.
o supervise technicians.
7. functional excellence
o participate in cip process with qmm product engineer for qz failures follow up (8d process).
o expert use of testing tools hw/sw.
o follow-up of bosch cdq’s, me process compass, and dmd’s.
o active participation and support to reach safety, quality, and environmental plant goals.
o knowledge and compliance with customer and bosch requirements.
working experience:
• >2 years of professional experience in product/test engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
key skills:
• substantial knowledge in test equipment and tools.
• product validation and reliability testing knowledge is a plus.
• communication skills, high initiative, independent style of working, structured & analytical approach, accountability/reliability.
