purpose of the job:
supervising alstom products at customer site to ensure their availability and providing technical expertise to maintenance teams, subcontractors, warranty support, project team members, and less experienced personnel.
reports directly to:
pi supervisor or maintenance field engineer
other reporting to:
team leader or maintenance supervisor
job location:
the position is based at one of the sites in yucatán peninsula where the rolling stock stops after revenue service: workshops, parking yards, stations. Occasionally, it may be required to accompany a driver during a test run or during revenue service, or to make an intervention anywhere on the tren maya line.
job hours:
troubleshooting activities are typically managed by rotation on different shifts; most corrective jobs on trains are undertaken during night shifts, and technical assistance coverage is set up according to revenue service hours.
main responsibilities:
* carry out maintenance activities of the rolling stock, including troubleshooting, pre-warranty, commissioning, and validation.
* conduct preventive maintenance, including fleet check activities.
* report and register any deviation in failure management database.
* support operation through data analysis using healthhub.
* manage corrective service orders in the maintenance management system.
* apply and enforce alstom & customer ehs & security rules on the customer site.
* execute test & troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance.
* support implementation of field modifications as required.
* provide recommendations for preventative and corrective actions.
* advise pi management regarding customer satisfaction and product performance.
* conduct peer reviews of pi activities and provide technical leadership if requested.
educational requirements:
* certified technician or undergraduate in technical area (mechanical or electrical/electronics).
* minimum it knowledge.
* internal ehs training.
* english: fluent reading & writing, able to follow a technical conversation.
experience:
* technical troubleshooting/investigation/testing experience (mechanical or electrical/electronic).
* field experience.
* ehs knowledge and exposure.
* railways product knowledge.
* railway safety/product liability.
* engineering knowledge.
* customer contact.
* self-government.
