as an application engineer ii here at honeywell, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to our customers. You will play a critical role in understanding customer requirements, troubleshooting issues, and delivering high-quality solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for customer satisfaction and business growth.
*key responsibilities*:
- support customer services team, providing technical support to customers around the globe for honeywell connected industrials - matrikon group of products.
- providing telephonic/remote/e-mail support to customers for matrikonopc suite of products.
- follow the support process to ensure all support requests are responded and resolved as per the committed service level agreement.
- facilitate issue identification and analysis. Report out to regional stakeholders, work closely with the global team.
- should be an effective communicator to ensure customer satisfaction.
- should be willing to work in shifts at least one week a month.
- should be well versed with control systems, dcs such as honeywell epks, foxboro etc.
- should be proficient in different network topologies.
- should be proficient with microsoft technologies such as dcom and tcp/ip.
- should be well versed in windows domain, workgroup, networking, security concepts.
- should be able to write excel macros or basic scripts to facilitate customer solutions
- should be comfortable to work under services discipline, involving frequent customer meetings, remote sessions, escalations etc.
- should liaise with testing and development teams as and when required and ensure customer issues and defects are addressed timely.
- should participate in initiatives beyond support and service like continuous improvement, innovation, product enhancements etc.
- should adhere to honeywell operating system or hos culture.
*you must have*:
- bachelor of engineering in instrumentation, chemical, computer science, information science and electronics
- experience of 3-5 years in industrial process automation and mes/opc products
- excellent communication skills (fluent english)
- working experience and knowledge on mes data historians like honeywell phd, osisoft pi, aspen ip21, ge prophecy etc.
- should be well versed with opc servers, integration and knowledge of historians with opc classic and opc ua.
- basic understanding and experience with opc ua based products.

- master of engineering in instrumentation, processcontrol, computerscience etc.
- previous experience of working in tac/technical support is an added advantage.
- itil certified for services, would be preferred.
- matrikonopc certification would be an added advantage.
- basic vb, java and.net scripting would be an added advantage.
