summary
this position manages relationships and customer service for accounts at the plant level, including inside and outside sales. The incumbent will generate quotations and work with customers and plant personnel to establish production expectations. The account manager will cultivate new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and explore new markets. The account manager adds value to the plant by serving as the focal point for cultivating, retaining, and expanding business opportunities with customers.
essential job functions (duties and responsibilities)
1. develop trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders, potential customers, and executive sponsors.
2. conduct sales calls, respond to phone inquiries from customers and potential customers.
3. conduct customer feedback interviews and surveys.
4. develop and deliver quotations; clarify customer requirements.
5. partner with plant employees to monitor work progress and meet customer expectations.
6. manage projects effectively.
7. handle proprietary and third-party information ethically and professionally.
8. perform additional tasks as assigned.
9. report to work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and adhere to rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

* high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

* ten years of experience in sales, customer service, or related field.

physical & mental demands
must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods, perform manual data entry, bend, pull, stoop, reach, lift 25-30 lbs, and operate effectively in environments with heat, fumes, noise, and humidity. Must communicate effectively orally and in writing, have visual acuity for reading, and hear in person and via phone.
