this is your chance to be part of an in-house brands team of industry experts in the domains of hospitality, brand management, innovation, food and beverage, wellness, owner relations, and more, for all of hilton's unique brands!
as a manager of hotel openings & transitions cala, you will support the team that leads our brands with the steadfast goal of strengthening and growing the hilton portfolio.
on the openings team reporting to senior director, openings and owner relations cala, you will work on projects including the hotel opening process for new construction, conversion hotels, and internal brand to brand changes for all hilton brands, as well as the exit process for hotels that transition out of our system in the caribbean / latin america region.

*how you will make an impact*
your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
*what your day-to-day will be like*:
- coordination and execution of various opening hotel activities (whether new development, rebrand or conversion) through 'pre' and 'post' opening phases.
- facilitate all hotel opening critical & brand recommended task items through the use of the on-line hotel opening roadmap and supporting tools & documents.
- direct the initialization of new hotels into hilton sales worldwide, brand marketing, global distribution management, hilton reservations worldwide, global distribution systems, online travel agencies, and hilton honors.
- guide and support all commercial activation strategies and initiatives to positively contribute to a successful ramp-up
*how you will collaborate with others*:
- act as primary contact with owners/management company representatives through opening/ramp up phase in respect to opening process activities which include developing strong working relationships, attending regular meetings and communications to build cooperation, ensure understanding of hilton´s objectives with franchise with the intention to drive mutually successful results.
- constant follow-up with general managers /director of sales / revenue managers on pending tasks that might put at risk tentative opening dates of hotels and work with internal teams to communicate as well as proposed solutions for challenges.

- complex and high-profile opening projects in the caribbean / latin america region.
- improvement of internal procedures and programs to support opening processes while participating in new global openings tracker platform deployment.

*you have these minimum qualifications*:
- three (3) years of relevant work experience with full and focused service hotels.
- three (3) years of branded hotel experience
- three (3) years of leadership experience
- bilingual and able to fluently speak, read, and write in english and spanish
- travel 30% or more (latin america and the united states)
*it would be useful if you have*:
- ba/bs bachelor's degree
- additional language skills, portuguese
- experience working in a commercial planning capacity for a multinational organization
