ap manager – ssc americas
education & experience:
1. bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; cpa or cma certification is a plus.
2. bilingual in english & spanish is required.
3. minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
4. demonstrated experience in sap & excel.
5. strong knowledge of ap processes, financial systems, and accounting principles.
6. experience working in a shared service environment is preferred.
key accountabilities:
leadership and management:
1. supervise and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
2. provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
3. set performance goals and objectives for the ap team and monitor progress.
accounts payable operations:
1. oversee the end-to-end ap process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and reconciliation.
2. ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
3. manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
4. monitor and analyze ap metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
process improvement:
1. identify opportunities to streamline and automate ap processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
2. implement best practices and standard operating procedures across the ap function.
3. collaborate with it and other departments to enhance systems and tools used for ap operations.
financial reporting and analysis:
1. prepare and review ap reports, including aging reports, payment forecasts, and accruals.
2. assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all ap transactions are accurately recorded.
3. provide analysis and insights on ap performance to senior management.
compliance and audit:
1. ensure adherence to internal controls and support audit activities related to accounts payable.
2. maintain proper documentation and records for all ap transactions.
3. address audit findings and implement recommendations to improve ap processes.
