to oversee and implement all aspects of sap finance configuration, ensuring seamless integration with tax solutions, particularly vertex. The candidate will be an integral member of the finance team, responsible for analyzing, configuring, and optimizing sap modules including sd, mm, and pp to enhance tax and financial transaction processes. This role requires a deep understanding of north american tax policies and business practices, along with the ability to document procedures and troubleshoot issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate autonomy in managing tasks across multiple initiatives to drive project success.
the role
responsibilities:
1. design and execute business blueprints, ensuring alignment with tax and financial requirements.
2. configure and customize sap fico to support tax calculations and reporting.
3. work closely with it and business stakeholders to define and document tax business requirements.
4. ensure compliance with usa and canadian tax regulations within the sap system.
5. provide expertise on indirect tax processes, tax determination, and reporting.
6. support the transition from thomson reuters tax solutions to vertex.
7. ensure seamless sap integration with tax solutions, particularly vertex.
8. execute tests integrated with sd, mm, pp modules to validate tax-related transactions (from po/so to invoices).
9. lead uat (user acceptance testing) and integration testing, ensuring financial transactions are correctly processed.
10. write user requirement specifications (urs) to document business needs.
11. provide training on tax functionalities (ap, ar, reporting, mm & sd invoicing etc.) to business users.
requirements:
1. 10+ years of experience in sap finance configuration and implementation.
2. strong expertise in tax solution integration, primarily with vertex.
3. in-depth knowledge of north american tax policies and business processes.
4. experience with sap sd, mm, and pp modules for tax and financial transaction integration.
5. strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
6. excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
7. ability to work autonomously and effectively manage tasks across multiple streams.
