private commercial leads are responsible for project management, negotiation, and contracting for portfolio products (either within one or across several therapeutic areas) in the private market in a single country.
a private commercial lead understands deeply the private ecosystem, including customers and stakeholders (private hospitals, insurers, oncology centers, infusion centers, and distributors). They expertly leverage resources to personalize customer engagements and demonstrate the company's value, building trusting long-term customer relationships and guiding changes in mindsets.
aligned with the brand priorities, they support brand purchase and access in these accounts.
they contribute to strategic plans to surpass sales objectives and maximize market share growth in the private market, seeking new market opportunities and developing innovative plans to create long-term relationships with accounts, adding competitive advantage in the market.
they identify key stakeholders in the market and establish relationships with key influencers and decision-makers to facilitate market access for new products and maintain/optimize access for existing products in coordination with all involved departments across the organization.
the candidate must have a deep understanding of the health private institutions and accounts in charge (insurers, oncology centers, and private hospitals) and expertise in market access to contribute to organizational goals in different key therapeutic areas.
responsibilities:
* understand the value of data and have the discipline to gather, use, and feed datasets to drive insights and decisions in the accounts.
* identify what information is needed for specific business purposes and capture and share it correctly, translating data into actionable insights to reach objectives.
* engage in data-driven decision-making and planning.
* understand the product journey, logistical chain value, and decision-making processes within the account to evolve data into actionable insights.
* identify account stakeholders and understand their perspectives, competitors, and the healthcare environment related to product listing and purchasing.
* complete a deep competitor analysis for the account.
* obtain an in-depth understanding of the account’s unmet and evolving needs in the purchase or listing process.
* understand the internal brand situation and needs relative to this account.
education, experience, and skills:
* degree in business (sales/marketing) or relevant subjects (e.g., chemistry, medicine, engineering, manufacturing, or research).
* experience working in a customer-facing role.
* experience leading teams.
* finance background either through education or experience.
* strong knowledge of customer/business strategy.
* understanding of local healthcare and reimbursement systems.
