The supply chain continuous improvement manager is a strategic role that drives operational excellence, risk management, and business continuity across mexico supply chain operations. This position develops and implements enterprise-wide improvement programs, maintains business continuity plans, leads risk assessment strategies, and fosters a culture of operational excellence. Reporting to the supply chain director, this role works closely with multiple areas of mexico operations to influence and deliver measurable performance improvements, ensure process standardization, and build organizational resilience. The position is based in mexico city and requires collaboration with all business units to maintain strong partnerships across the organization.
key job responsibilities
1. process optimization and risk mitigation:
- design and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean and six sigma methodologies.
- develop and execute risk management strategies to address operational vulnerabilities.
- lead process standardization efforts across supply chain organization to ensure sustainability.
- analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and potential risks and define action plans to resolve.
- drive data-driven decision making through analytics and performance metrics.
2. business continuity planning:
- develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans (bcps).
- monitor and assess network contingency plans to ensure appropriate controls/measures in each mile are in place.
- conduct regular business impact analyses (bias) to assess process criticality and risk.
- coordinate it disaster recovery (itdr) planning with business continuity strategies.
- lead regular testing and simulation exercises to validate continuity plans.
- monitor and report on program effectiveness to senior leadership.
- end-to-end understanding in key areas that benefit program/product (process, deliverables).
- facilitate technical/operational trade-offs between short term team needs and long term business needs.
3. training and capability development:
- design and implement supply chain training programs on continuous improvement and risk management methodologies.
- develop job role standardization and qualification matrices.
- conduct critical skill mapping and assessment.
- lead capability building initiatives across the organization.
- foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
4. performance monitoring and reporting:
- establish key performance indicators (kpis) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the resilience program.
- prepare regular performance reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
- monitor industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive advantage.

minimum requirements:
1. 5+ years of program management experience.
2. proven experience using data analytics to drive improvements.
3. strong track record of owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery.
4. experience communicating results to senior leadership.
5. lean or six sigma experience.
6. fluent in english and spanish, both written and verbal (c1+).
7. bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
8. 3+ years of process improvement experience.
9. master's degree or mba.
10. experience in change management and organizational transformation.
11. knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry trends.
