job summary
to generate maximum sales efficiencies while maintaining or exceeding targeted net sales volume. Must promote and support all aspects of customer service and enhancement. They assist with the supervision of a sales line through coaching, modeling, and reinforcing effective sales and customer service practices, behaviors, and results. Must maintain a professional and personal image that upholds the mvw standards of integrity, quality, and service to customers.
expected contributions
1. maintain maximum sales efficiencies while maintaining or exceeding targeted net sales volume.
2. recruit, train, coach, and counsel all sales representatives to maximize their potential.
3. participate in the hiring, supervision, evaluation, counseling, training, coaching, and motivating of the sales teams, including goal setting and monitoring of production.
4. ride with sales representatives and critique their sales presentation.
5. orient new employees and assist with continuing education/training of the sales team.
6. administer written policies and procedures for departmental operations, including human resource paperwork.
7. participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings, such as seminars and training as required.
8. review and communicate monthly evaluation of team leader/sales representative effectiveness and production based on set goals.
9. implement ongoing motivation programs for sales representatives.
10. provide assistance to sales representatives in the form of a t.o. or button-up.
11. represent the company in matters of customer relations (problem solving).
12. generate maximum sales efficiencies while maintaining a professional and personal image and upholding starwood standards of integrity, quality, and service to customers.
candidate profile
1. bachelor’s degree and/or hotel management degree preferred.
2. three to five years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible positions within the vacation membership field.
3. bilingual, ability to speak english and spanish fluently.
4. proven track record of success.
5. excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. excellent computer skills, including but not limited to microsoft office.
7. results-oriented with ability to be flexible.
8. ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and be a self-starter.
9. proven ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization.
10. detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
11. ability to work flexible hours and days; it is anticipated that the position will require working a provided schedule. Occasionally, holidays and/or a six- or seven-day work schedule will be required.
12. stands, sits, or walks for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs.
