Position purpose
manages shops, reviews the results of them, analyzes market behavior, and has a feedback meeting with the cm's to suggest retail tests based on the market. These activities help the cm to define the price philosophy of each category. Supervises the promotions results and shares the conclusions with the merch team to define better promotions strategies.
primary accountabilities
* extract and transform data from various information sources, and report findings.
* analyze information to identify pricing opportunities according to the category goals and market needs.
* define the pricing philosophy and strategy for each category with aid from the category manager / assistant category manager to have competitive prices and help increase autozone’s market cap.
* optimize categories according to established targets, competitor information, and category behavior.
* track behavior of price optimization changes derived from shops and assess them against the forecasted kpis to generate valuable insights.
education & experience
level of formal education: a bachelor's degree (ba, bs) or equivalent.
area of study: bs in informatics, bs in computer science, bs in it management, ba in actuarial science, bs in economics.
years of experience: three to five years.
type of experience: data extraction (sql), information analysis, excel, english.
special certifications or technical skills: none listed.
other/preferred: retail industry experience is required; able to understand requirements, efficient communication, and activity follow-up (self-organized).
