we are looking for an experienced solar and storage asset manager that is self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment that values creative problem solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement. as an energy asset manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of your portfolio of operational renewable assets in mexico. This includes continuous improvement of financial and operational performance, and commercial management. You will report to the global head of asset management located in the usa and will collaborate across a diverse set of individuals located globally.
what’s needed in order to do that:
project due diligence, integration & setup
1. review pro-forma and various documents to identify risk, provide input, and document obligations for future tracking.
2. interface with various internal & external teams to ensure a smooth transition of projects from construction to commercial operation.
commercial management
1. manage commercial issues in collaboration with legal; coordinate and conduct negotiations to resolve issues with counterparties.
2. review various agreements and develop strategies to improve asset performance and risk.
financial oversight
1. responsible for p&l management of operating energy assets including budgeting, variance analysis, and value creating strategies.
2. work with various teams to ensure revenues are received and coded appropriately.
performance management
1. review operational performance reports and work with o&m service provider and facilities managers to optimal asset performance.
contract compliance & administration
1. lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with key project agreements, incentive programs, regulatory requirements, and other project obligations.
2. compile annual customer billing reconciliations and interface with customers regarding billing questions or system performance.
3. support the development of information sharing platforms and work management systems, including populating such systems with historical records and archiving of documents.
this role also supports brazil and the us team in asset management related subjects.

1. 3+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry, preferably in a commercial role.
2. 5+ years in project management, construction management, project development, project administration, project financing, project accounting, asset management or similar role.
3. bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, accounting, or similar field is required.
4. mba or equivalent advanced technical or financial degree is highly desirable.
5. you can work in a dynamic environment with high iterations and changes.
6. able to travel up to 15% of the time.
commercial management
1. prior history in negotiating and resolving complex issues through strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
financial oversight
1. prior experience developing budgets and performing financial analysis; advanced ms excel.
2. working knowledge of accounting concepts.
performance management
1. strong understanding of solar and prior experience monitoring & improving operational performance of assets.
2. prior history managing contracts and service providers.
3. ability to understand technical issues and read as-built plans.
contract compliance & administration
1. demonstrated expertise in contract compliance and administration.
2. strong organizational, project management, and attention to detail.
3. general knowledge of business systems and processes (billing, accounting, document management, procurement, etc.).
