mvshw group is looking for a board design engineer.
- part of a worldwide team involved in the design of validation hardware for client, device, server, and graphics products.
- conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (cpus) and/or peripheral equipment.
- this individual will prepares specifications, evaluate vendors, analyze test reports, ensures products conform to standards and specifications.
- will develop plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk.
- develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems.
initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products.
- responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
- develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
- work closely with hw architecture to develop hw platform design specifications, validation strategy and test plans for intel client, device, server, and graphics hardware.
- take part or solely own board design projects at various levels of complexity and purposes thru third party suppliers
- drive resolution of technical issues through working with the cross-functional teams such as si/pi electrical, mechanical, firmware, quality, planner/procurement, test/deployment, and various vendor teams.
- firmware (verilog/vhdl) development (design/support/debug) used for platform enabling/development
- resolve any hardware challenges in the areas of high speed board design, power and analog
- perform hardware design verifications, power analysis, measurements, and rtl firmware development as needed
- become the link between intel's design teams and the various validation teams around the world

*qualifications*
requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences and or school work/classes/research.
*minimum qualifications*:
a bsc\msc degree in electronics/electrical engineering, computer engineering or related fields ("cedula profesional" may be required) and 5+ years of experience in a mix of the skills below:
- experience in board design is a must
- experience in high-speed board design, signal integrity and power integrity is must
- advanced english is a must
- experience in digital design, transmission lines, microcontroller-based designs, power electronics areas.
- hands-on experience on schematic entry tool
- experience working with fab and assembly suppliers in different capacities
- experience taking hardware projects from requirements to validation
*preferred qualifications*:
- project management experience highly desired
- hands on experience on silicon, ddr, pcie, audio, display and camera is desired
- leadership skills and experience desired
- should have worked on power delivery subsystems
- should have led multiple hw/board design projects.
- cadence suite tool ( allegro/hdl) experience
- python knowledge
- verilog/vhdl knowledge
