*duties and responsibilities*:- overall financial responsibility for the operations and all other related activities at the plant, while holding the local team accountable to the results.- monthly financial reporting and financial analysis to the process council.- update and track plant dashboards.- daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting to the local team as well as to the corporate office- prepare annual budgets, monthly/weekly forecasts and analyze variances to each on a month to month basis.- manage all a/p, a/r, production and non-production purchasing, and payroll.- monitor and manage all aspects of the plant's perpetual inventories to ensure no shortages occur.- lead the monthly physical inventories.- monitor engineering changes to ensure no negative financial issues result from the change.- report financial progress to the local team as well as the corporate team through monthly management reviews.- prepare weekly forecast of prior week's results and possible future events that veer from the last forecast or budget, recommend mitigating actions.- complete knowledge of the operation at the facility and consistently offering suggestions for improvement- monitor the plant spending to ensure that the facility is acting fiscally responsible.- monthly deliverables to both the local team and the corporate team:- complete report out of monthly results.- complete analysis of variances to both monthly forecasts and annual budgets.- monthly forecasts and analysis to budget and prior month forecasts.- updated monthly balance sheet activity.- complete breakdown of accounts receivable position.- day to day accounting functions.- all other duties as assigned.
*education and experience*:- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.- experience: 10+ years' of general accounting experience with very strong operational prowess in the automotive industry, specifically tier 1 supplier experience with the oem's.- prior manufacturing plant controller experience a must.
