how you will do it?
1. responsible for new product introduction and continuous product improvement.
2. generate cost reduction ideas (va/ve) developing actions to achieve savings goals.
3. assure information to build compressors is at their latest revision level maintaining constant communication with engineering design centers.
4. manage & provide direction on major engineering projects (savings/npi/improvement).
5. provide technical support to the productive areas.
6. facilitate the comprehension of all the information available to build compressors.
7. be proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support compressor assembly processes.
8. provide feedback to design engineering to improve compressor designs (both current and npi compressors).
9. participate actively in plant initiatives (gmoc, lpa, safety subcommittees, etc.).
10. participate in risk assessments.
11. participate in ehs suggestions program.
12. participate in ehs observations program.
13. implement and maintain security policy, health, and environment at work.
14. support committees in identifying risks and environmental aspects. Participate in training program.
15. identify training needs in safety, health, and environment.
16. train staff in procedures and instructions.
17. define corrective and preventive actions.
18. control system logs in your area.
19. develop and review procedures and instructions. Intervene personally to identify and correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior.
20. identify and report potential environmental impacts.
21. analyze and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity.
what you will do?
1. experience required: a minimum of three years of progressive experience in manufacturing or hvac industry, manufacturing processes, and projects administration.
2. demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.
3. ability to work under constrained time scales and demanding workloads.
4. high proficiency in the english language is also required.
